I think we're definitely talking about the same thing. They're sometimes called bonding pacts. One of them connects a pair telepathically, another lets you share powers, and... Shit, I can't remember all of them.
I'm pretty sure each one is for a different kind of pact. So, a family pact [ ...she's thinking of the familial pact ] will let feel one another's emotions and other ones do other things. I'm pretty sure it's the romantic one that lets you hear one another's thoughts.
Glad to hear you two have been talking about it. It's a big change for a relationship and I've heard stories that some people go mad from the connection.
